SCIRA invites you to the 18th European Conference on Reading
in Jönköping, Sweden, 6-9 August 2013

The conference is arranged by the SCIRA (Swedish Council of International Reading Association) in cooperation with School of Education and Communication, Jönköping University, IDEC (International Reading Association’s International Development in Europe Committee) and FELA (Federation of European Literacy Associations)

The conference venue is School of Education and Communication, Jönköping University in Jönköping, Sweden.

The main conference language is English. It is possible to present in any other european language. There will be a Scandinavian language strand.

This website will shortly be updated with more information on the conference, such as subthemes, call for papers, registration and so forth.

    I am interested in perhaps making a presentation at the 18th European Conference on Reading. Could you send me information regarding the deadline for conference proposals and if it isn’t too late the conference proposal forms?
    Also, I would like advance information concerning where and when your 19th and 20th European IRA Conferences on Reading will be held.

        Hi, I am a Canadian teacher interested in attending the IDEC conference in Sweden. In order to get funding, I need to make application to my school board as soon as possible. I cannot do that without information on the conference sessions. I see that the deadline for early registration is in a few days. If I don’t get my application and registration in I will miss the early registration. Could you please give me some information on the sessions. I last heard they would be up on the website the end of April, but am still not seeing them.
