The venue for the European Conference on Literacy is the Dublin City University (DCU) Institute of Education, St Patrick’s Campus, Drumcondra, Dublin D09 YE24. All conference sessions and the opening reception take place at this venue. See Google Maps

Bus tickets can be purchased with cash, or paid for using a LEAP Card. These cards are available from most shops (see https://www.leapcard.ie/Home/index.html), including the Spar stores at Dublin Airport.  For further information on bus travel and airport transfer, click here.

The DCU Institute of Education can be reached by the following buses:

From the city centre: 1, 11, 13, 16, 33, 41, 41c, 44 (get off at bus stop 7602, DCU St Patrick’s)

From the airport: 16, 41 (get off at bus stop 7603, St Patrick’s College)

From Dublin City University Main Campus (Ballymun Road) 11, 13 (get off at bus stop 7603, St Patrick’s College)

From other north city suburbs: 1, 11, 13, 16, 33, 41, 41c, 44 (get off at bus stop 7603, St Patrick’s College)

The Conference Dinner and Céilí (music and dancing) (evening of Tuesday, July 5, 2022) takes place at the Dublin City University Main Campus in Glasnevin. Take buses 11 or 13 from Drumcondra (stop 7602, same side of the road as the Institute of Education), and get off at stop 4680 DCU (journey takes 5-10 minutes). Cross the Ballymun Road to enter the main DCU campus. Alternatively, take the less frequent bus 44 from stop 7602 in Drumcondra and get off at stop 7571 at the Helix on the DCU campus).

To return to Drumcondra or the city centre, take buses 11 or 13 from stop 37 on the Ballymun Road or bus 44 from the DCU campus (stop 7571, at the Helix).

Parking on the DCU St Patrick’s Campus (Eircode: D09 DY00). Parking is available free of charge during the Conference in the permit areas (i.e. student, staff parking areas) on campus. Please avoid the ‘pay by text’ parking immediately to the left as you enter the campus. Clamping operates here 24/7. No overnight parking is permitted.
