The Romanian Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking Association was chartered as a member organisation of the International Reading Association on 10 June 2008.
The association includes a well‑established membership representing diverse profiles. The membership consists of teachers, teacher educators, and other education-related professionals, regular and honorary members.
The association’s goals are:
• Support for teachers’ pre-service and in-service training, for improving the quality of education,
• Support for the professional development of teaching staff by using reading and writing as means of professional development,
• Provision of a professional framework for sharing experiences in the field of reading, writing, critical thinking, and instruction.
