The main purpose of the association is the support of literacy research and practice in Switzerland. The goals include exchange and collaboration between research and practice, the French and German language regions, and organisations engaged in literacy. Perspectives on literacy include different age groups, life domains, and research disciplines.
The means to achieve these goals is the online-platform leseforum.ch / forumlecture.ch. An editorial board of literacy experts from 6 important organisations publishes 3 issues of the open access online-journal leseforum.ch / forumlecture.ch per year.
The website has been visited by 82’000 users (a 51% growth compared to 2013), 32’000 (plus 28%) users have returned serveral times. The number of newsletter subscriber has increased by 16% to 723.
